Hi there, my name is Jim Ellinor and I have been around the boating industry since childhood. I am a U.S.C.G. 100 ton Master Captain, with a commercial towing endorsement and I am a current member of the Drug Consortium (random drug testing). I have extensive experience on a variety of boats from small run-a-bouts to 110' offshore supply vessels.

The geographical areas I have piloted include most of the Bahamas, Florida Keys, Gulf of Mexico, all of the State of Florida to New York City and north to Toronto and northern Canada. I have also cruised most of the Caribbean Sea to include Cuba, Puerto Rico, Grenada and Columbia.

I am a certified scuba Master Diver with many other certifications. I also have a great deal of experience with ship systems and maintenance issues encompassing both gas and diesel. I am retired as a law enforcement professional with over 35 years experience to include S.W.A.T, K-9, Dive Team, Equestrian and Marine Patrol.

I have never had any type of maritime incident and take this responsibility very seriously. I am currently the captain of a 74’ Hatteras motor yacht. I manage all aspects of maintaining this vessel. I have been on this yacht for almost 10 years. during that time we have traveled all over the eastern sea board, to include the Bahamas, the Florida Keys, Mississippi River to Alto Illinois and south to New Orleans, west to Houston. The east coast of the United States from Florida to Bar Harbor Maine and most everything in between.I still do some delivery work along with vessel maintenance for local customers.I previously was captain of a 90' 129 ton lunch and dinner charter vessel as well as a 2002 565 Carver motor yacht that I maintained and operated for a corporation.

I love all boats and treat them as if they were my own. I have a strong work ethic, easy-going personality, positive attitude, and would love to teach anyone willing to learn about boating and all it has to offer.

I have many happy customers whom I have delivered for, instructed, and captained to various destinations. My detailed resume and references along with my license and credentials are available upon request. I look forward to seeing you on-board.
